Big Sister Practice ~ Seattle Maternity & Family photographer

My dear friend Dana and I go back 14 years.  We met when she came to be an advisor of sorts for the sorority that I was Vice-President of at the time.  We laughed, shared successes and frustrations, and many meals together.  We started out eating at the “SUB” on campus and it evolved to grabbing lunch (usually Thai food) together during the work week.  Now that we’re moms we now play phone tag and get together once in a blue moon.

When I went to photograph Dana’s second pregnancy, we also made it a playdate of sorts for our daughters.  Hers is about a year and a half older than mine, and the girls had a blast.  They watered the plants (with bubbles!) and played with baby dolls.  K enjoyed being the older girl, and Carli was happy to follow along (most of the time).  In between, we snuck in some great maternity shots too.

The family that is silly together stays together ~ Seattle Family & Child Photographer

My Sweet-Pea has had a best friend since she was just a few weeks old.  We met his parents in a birth class, and we have hung out with the kiddos ever since.  It was fitting then that Alex and Carli came with me on my shoot to get some family pictures for this family that has become so dear to us.  Anna, Jeff and Liam are such an exuberant family and Jeff’s dad and his wife Karen also joined us for some extended family pictures as well.  When you get that much energy in one place, it’s hard to corral.  Thank goodness I had some assistant wranglers to get Liam’s attention.

It was such a pleasure to capture just a little bit of the love that this family has shared with us in the past 2 years or so!

Wide Awake ~ Seattle Infant & Family Photography

Little Miss L was wide awake pretty much the entire time I was at their house.  She was about a month old, so past the super sleepy newborn phase… but L did not want to miss any of the action!  It seemed like mom could get her to calm down and then just when she’d be falling asleep, she’d wake herself up again.  So we got lots of fun pictures of Miss L with her eyes wide open!

        Welcome

        I'm Kellie! I'm so glad you're here.

I have been toting my camera almost everywhere since I was a little girl… and my family and friends have learned to ignore it. But usually I don’t mind them ignoring me. Why? Because I try to capture life as it happens. I see “moments”, and I want to help you have those treasured memories to look back on.
