Why Take Sibling Photos?
Do you have photos of you and your siblings when you were younger? I love looking back at photos of me and my siblings. My kids love to look photos and videos of themselves. To me, these images are a trip down memory lane, and cherished family treasures. Sibling photos are one facet of photography that document varying stages of our lives, and capture fleeting things that sometimes go away and don’t come back. Like baby curls, or blond hair that darkens into brown. Or the gap from those missing baby teeth.
Why Fine-Art Sibling Photos?
The extra time of a sibling mini-photo session allows ample time for your children to relax and to behave more like they normally would with each other. I prompt them to interact, play, and ask questions that elicit priceless expressions and displays of their affection (or displeasure) with each other. I ask them questions about themselves and we all know everyone, especially some little kids, love to talk about themselves. Or I ask them about each other, and it’s pretty funny to listen to what they say about their brother(s) and/or sister(s) too. If your children are shy, that’s totally fine too! I won’t force smiles, I just observe and capture them as they are.
The End Result of Fine-Art Sibling Photos?
A wide-variety of images of your children, presented in an on-line gallery. All the images included in the gallery will be presented in both color and B&W. Each gallery will vary in size depending on how comfortable they are in-front of the camera, but typically I will get at least 10-15 photos that you can view and choose your favorites from. Most people can’t choose just one!
